Is HyperPulse FERPA compliant for school use?

HyperPulse is being designed to support FERPA-aligned district workflows. School-controlled access, export, deletion, and partner agreements must be finalized before district launch.

FERPA scope

FERPA covers student education records. Athletic performance data may be treated as sensitive student data by districts. HyperPulse is being designed for school-controlled access, school-authorized data handling, and school-initiated export/deletion workflows, but district agreements and operations must be finalized before district launch.

District onboarding

A FERPA Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is planned for school district programs and remains subject to legal review. The MOU defines school as data controller, HyperPulse as data processor. School IT data export and deletion workflows are planned before district launch.

Coach-only access

Target access model: assigned coaches, athletic directors, parents, and athletes see only the data permitted by their role after server-side role controls are implemented.

Data export & deletion

FERPA-aligned export: school admin downloads the full data set in CSV format. Deletion workflow: planned district-admin deletion/export process before district launch.
