Is HyperPulse safe for kids ages 10 and up?
Form factor safety
The sensor is designed to be low-profile, rounded, and fully enclosed: no sharp edges, no exposed circuitry, and an enclosed lithium polymer battery. Final thickness, weight, and drop-impact numbers must be validated on production-intent hardware.
Radio safety
BLE 5.0 at +4 dBm transmit power. For comparison: a smartphone in a pocket runs at +23 to +33 dBm continuously. HyperPulse's RF emission is 50–100× lower than the phone in your athlete's locker. FCC and RF compliance must be confirmed before commercial sale.
Adhesive + skin contact
Adhesive and tape materials are under validation. Athletes with adhesive sensitivity should not use the product without parent/guardian review and appropriate medical guidance.
Data privacy for minors
parent-managed with COPPA consent architecture. HyperPulse is designed without public athlete profiles, public leaderboards, or athlete-discovery feeds. No athlete-discovery feed, no public leaderboard, no shareable handle. Parents control all data access. Full privacy policy and COPPA disclosures must be finalized before broad youth launch.
