Does HyperPulse work for swimming?
No. HyperPulse does not support swimming. BLE radio does not penetrate water effectively, and the current sensor is not designed for sustained submersion. Swimming has different device rules and should be evaluated separately.
Why we don't support swimming
Bluetooth Low Energy operates at 2.4 GHz, which is absorbed by water in milliseconds. Even if the patch shell were submersion-rated, the signal can't reach a poolside tablet. We'd have to switch to a different radio technology (acoustic, or sub-GHz) to make this work — and at that point, we'd be building a different product.
What does work for swimming
Garmin Swim 2, Apple Watch Series 8+ (waterproof models), Form Smart Swim Goggles. NFHS rules treat swimming as a wrist-device-permitted sport because the chest/back is fully submerged and unsuitable for wearables. We respect that boundary and stay out of the pool.
